We are 14 Wolves - warm hearted folk from South Wales.
The stunning harmonies of neighbours Beth and Eira have been echoing down the welsh hillsides and captivating all who hear them.
The band have a reputation for crafting beautiful acoustic roots music - ideal for those who like First Aid Kit, The Staves or Thea Gilmore. Pulling on folk, country and bluegrass influences, the strong songwriting and creative arrangements give this indie folk band a truly unique sound.
‘it is the voice that enthrals - as it is a potent and emotive instrument with elements of Stevie Nicks, a shard of Natalie Merchant and perhaps a splinter of Patti Smith in its tones, the latter if she had been a Nashville star rather than a New Jersey shaman’
From the Margins
You’ll hear hints of John Martyn and Richard Thompson in the strums and single note runs of guitarist Tom - a study of flamenco and world music enriches his playing and passion for folk fingerstyle guitar. Sometimes joined by bass and percussion the band have become festival favourites across the UK and have just recorded their debut album.
The timeless sound of voices in harmony, acoustic guitars, and foot stomping rhythms combine where 14 Wolves meet.
‘From the first seconds of this new project, I was taken away to the halcyon days of American and British folk-rock - the sweet but rich vocals whisking us back to glory days of informed innocence.’ Welsh Connections
